Quin's has been a well respected name in the marine industry in Australia since 1921. In 1836 Captain Hugh Quin arrived in the new colony of South Australia aboard the ship 'Cygnet'.
Captain Hugh's grandson, Hugh Quin Jnr (1880-1950) became a renowned sailmaker to the local fishing fleet, founding Hugh Quin P/L and establishing a sail loft in September 1921.
Barry Quin in South Australia passed on his sailmaking and rigging knowledge to his son, Colin, who is continuing the family tradition of serving the marine industry in Queensland.
After working overseas Jesse, teamed up with Colin to form QuinRig.
