ABOUT QUINRIG
Quin's has been a well respected name in the marine industry in Australia since 1921. In 1836 Captain Hugh Quin arrived in the new colony of South Australia aboard the ship 'Cygnet'.
Captain Hugh's grandson, Hugh Quin Jnr (1880-1950) became a renowned sailmaker to the local fishing fleet, founding Hugh Quin P/L and establishing a sail loft in September 1921.

Barry Quin in South Australia passed on his sailmaking and rigging knowledge to his son, Colin, who is continuing the family tradition of serving the marine industry in Queensland.
After working overseas Jesse, teamed up with Colin to form QuinRig.

COLIN QUIN
Owner and Managing Director
Colin Quin is the Managing Director and Owner of QuinRig, he has been in the rigging and sailing industry for over 40 years. He began his career at an early age working for his father, Barry Quin, at Quin Marine in Port Adelaide and Barry Quin Marine at North Haven, South Australia.

As a founding member of QuinRig, Colin has the enthusiasm and expertise to work in a friendly and efficient manner to complete projects.
When not working, Colin enjoys keeping active outdoors, with hobbies including surfing, sailing and watching Port Adelaide in the AFL.
JESSE QUIN
Senior Project Rig Manager
Jesse Quin is the senior Project Manager for QuinRig. Previously working in England for: XP rigging in Poole, Spencer Rigging in Southampton and THL Superyachts in Falmouth.

Jesse has been working in the industry since he was 15 years old. Through working on superyachts, Jesse has the experience and knowledge to understand the forces that a rig has to withstand.
​
Jesse is our leading Rope Splicer at Quinrig.
​
In Jesse's spare time he loves to play football, he has played at a pro level with professional clubs such as FC Basel in Switzerland.
ADRIAN OLSEN
Rigging and Sailmaking Assistant
Adrian is an essential part of our team for both sailmaking and rigging, with Adrian's knowledge on the water we are ensured that countless clients receive exactly what they need and are completely satisfied.

Commencing at a young age, Adrian's passion for the sea began aboard his family's yacht, travelling throughout the pacific islands including New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Solomon Islands and PNG.
Bitten by the bug, Adrian began a professional career, headed to Europe and sailed extensively throughout the world.
In all positions from deckhand, bosun to captain, Adrian continued to gain experience and amass over 150,000 nm. As well as deliveries Adrian has worked on several superyachts ranging from 75ft to 445ft.
Adding to this Adrian brings experience in Maritime shipping control and communications.
DEBBIE QUIN
Owner and Office Manager
Debbie Quin is our Office manager and Co-owner of QuinRig. Based at our office in Marcoola on The Sunshine Coast.
Debbie will assist you with getting in contact with the right person to get your project underway.

In Debbie's spare time she is a keen tennis player, an extremely skillful crafts person and sewing machinist.
